|Jimmer Fredette wins the Naismith Award|
No way is this kid was the best player in the country! Kemba Walker straight up was the best player in America this year. How difficult is it to average 28 points per game when you don't play against a single player that's going to the league? How many point guards are going to the NBA from the Mountain West? Let's keep it real, I'm not saying that Jimmer isn't talented, he's just not as good as advertised.
If he were playing in a conference with better players we wouldn't be talking about Jimmer Fredette. If he were as good as the media has hyped him to be he wouldn't be playing at BYU. He'd be at Kentucky, Duke, Kansas ,UNC or some other powerhouse. Those coaches know who the players are by 10th grade. Nobody slept on him, he's not that good. Remember how much hype Adam Morrison got when he was at Gonzaga? We heard pure shooter, great skills etc. He's in the league and is only shooting in warm ups now.
|"Yeah, he can shoot but can he do this?"|
I'm not saying that the man won't get drafted because he will. Sure, he can shoot, but can he shoot with someone guarding him. Everybody in the NBA can play, even the guy that is last on the bench. However, the difference between that guy and players like, Derrick Rose, Kobe, Lebron, D. Wade etc. is that they can shoot when someone's guarding them.
In my opinion Jimmer needs a ski mask because he stole the Naismith from much better players like Kemba "The Great" and Ohio State's Jarad Sulinger. Speaking of Sulinger, he's tripping talking about staying in school but that's for another day. In just a matter of eight months we'll find out just how good "The Jimmer" is. Well..you'll find out because I already know he's the guy from the "Y". He'll be sitting on some body's bench for a few years then he'll be out of the league.
