|"I wanna thank my old man for comin' through and getting this done!"|
Alfred Hitchcock once said, “Drama is life with the dull bits cut out.” The French poet and novelist Victor Hugo broke it down like this, “The ode lives upon the ideal, the epic upon the grandiose, the drama upon the real.” The O.G.’s shooting dice on the block would always say, “I gotta have some drama in my life or my day ain’t right playa!”
On Thursday, ESPN 150 running back Alex Collins signed his national letter of intent to play football at the University of Arkansas 24 hours after he initially attempted to. His ole girl not only refused to sign the joint but took off with the letter. She wanted him to go to the University of Miami instead. So Alex’s father Johnny Collins showed up with him on Thursday and closed the deal.
Now the first thing boyz were saying was, “Where was this dun’s old man yesterday? I mean why wasn’t he there when his baby momma tripped on Wednesday! This all could have been avoided.” You know that’s what cats are saying right?
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! There are a lot of boyz out here that know exactly how it went down bruh! So for the naïve that don’t know, you got YA Boy to break it down for you! It’s called baby momma drama homeboy and after a while a cat doesn’t want to fool with the foolishness.
This ain’t the first time ole girl has tripped like this. This kid is 18 years old bruh, so Johnny has had his share of bizarre episodes with this chick. When it was time to go to the school to sign the letter, the old man said, “Is your mom gonna be there? If she is, I’ll stay at the crib homeboy and watch it on TV! Cuz I already know this is about to be crazy!”
On some real talk, if he had shown up it would have been even worse pimpin’! He would have ended up wrestling with ole girl to take the letter from her and ended up in jail. Stop me when I start lyin'! You can’t make grown folks act like they’ve got good sense bruh! He knew she was on something else because he’s got a baby by her. It’s obvious that the kid has a relationship with his father because he called him on Wednesday night after the foolishness took place and he said we’ll handle it tomorrow son.
So on Thursday not only did they close the deal with Arkansas but several family members of the same last name showed up in support of the younger Collins. That means that everybody on that side of the family understood that ole girl was crazy. Otherwise, both sides of the family would have been there on Wednesday! So before you jump all over the dad for not being there 24 hours earlier, understand that he was trying not to catch a case so that he COULD see his son play at Arkansas in the fall! Again, stop me when I start lyin’ bruh!
